Zalman Unreich Life Story & Family Legacy

Zalman Unreich grew up in Czechoslovakia, in the city of Bratislava, near the River Danube. Bratislava is no longer in Czechoslovakia, after the dismantling of the Iron Curtain it became the capital of the newly independent state of Slovakia. It was in neither Czechoslovakia nor Slovakia when Zalman was born. In those days it was in Hungary and it was known by the name of Poszony, though many people referred to it by its German name, Pressburg. These photos were taken around the 1920s.
